The American Chamber Players with members : Miles Hoffman, violist; Loren Kitt, clarinetist; Joanna Maurer, violinist; Alberto Parrini, cellist; Sara Stern, flutist and Anna Stoytcheva, pianist; are one of the most exciting and innovative chamber music ensembles around.

They were formed in 1985 by Miles Hoffman from a core group of artists of The Library of Congress Summer Chamber Festival.

The six members of the ensemble perform repertoire ranging from familiar masterpieces to neglected gems to newly commissioned American works, and their fascinating and delightful programs with varied instrumental combinations have been as enthusiastically praised as their extraordinary, dynamic performances.

Saturdays' concert program includes :

Bloch's Concertino for flute, viola, and piano
Schubert's Auf dem Strom for soprano, viola and piano
Madeleine Dring's Trio for flute, violin and piano
Beethoven's Variations on "La ci darem la mano"
Rachmaninoff's Two Songs for soprano and piano
